Bright Dyes Blue Powder: FD & C Blue

The Blue NSF products are specially formulated versions of food grade dye FD & C Blue. The Blue NSF Food Grade products have been certified by NSF International to the ANSI/ NSF Standard 60 for use in drinking water. This dye is used for visual detection only and cannot be seen under ultraviolet light or detected by fluorometry. However, when used visually, its color is often thought to be more acceptable to public view than the fluorescing red or yellow green products. In this respect, it is sometimes used in fountains, ponds and streams for decorative effect. Visually, the dye appears as aqua to royal blue depending on its concentration and activity of the water.

Based on biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) studies, the dye is biodegradable with 77% of the available oxygen consumed in 7 days. As always the suitability of these products for any specific application should be evaluated by a qualified hydrologist or other industry professional.

Walchem EW Pump Selection

The Walchem EW pump has a number of features that set it apart from the rest, one of these features is the high compression ratio.  The compression ratio of a metering pump is important because it affects the pump's ability to prime and vent.  The EW pumps have outputs up to 6.7 GPH (25.2 l/h) and a maximum pressure of 250 PSI (17 bar).  The pump operates at 360 strokes-per-minute, providing high resolution chemical feed, most competitive products operate at slower speeds, resulting in slug feeding, accelerated diaphragm wear and poor feed control. Bright Dyes Red Liquid: Rhodamine WT

The red NSF dye products are specially formulated versions of Rhodamine WT dye for
convenient use in water tracing and leak detection studies. This bright, fluorescent red dye is
certified by NSF International to ANSI/NSF Standard 60 for use in drinking water. It may be
detected visually, by ultraviolet light and by appropriate fluorometric equipment. Today it is most
often used visually. Visually the dye appears bright pink to red, depending on its concentration and
under ultraviolet light as bright orange.

The dye is resistant to absorption on most suspended mater in fresh and salt water. Compared to
 yellow/green dye products it is significantly more resistant to degradation by
sunlight and when used in fluorometry, stands out much more clearly against background
fluorescence.

Sodium Sulfite Dechlorination Tablets


Sodium Sulfite, or Sodium Sulphite, dechlorination tablets are the most common form of dechlorination tablets used in flushing applications.  The tablets are visually pale green color, with an 92% active ingredient (Sodium Sulfite). Cherne Smoke Fluid

The Cherne Smoke Fluid is widely used in the municipal pipe testing process. The smoke fluid is used with smoke generating machines, such as the Air-Loc Smoke Blower.

First, smoke is blown into the piping system, then second, the smoke escapes through leaks/cracks in the system and is doing so visually identifying the location of the leak.

The yellow/green NSF dye products are specially formulated versions of Xanthene dye, certified by NSF International to ANSI/NSF Standard 60 for use in drinking water. This dye is the traditional fluorescent water tracing and leak detection material and has been used for labeling studies from the beginning of the century.  

 It may be detected visually, by UV light and by appropriate fluoremetric equipment. Today it is most often used visually. This dye has been used by the military to mark downed pilots for search and rescue operations over large water bodies. Visually the dye appears yellow/green, depending on its concentration and under UV light as lime green. 

 Based on biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) studies, the dye is biodegradable with 65% of the available oxygen consumed in 7 days. The dye is resistant to absorption on most suspended matter in fresh and salt water.

Hydrant flushing is an important part of any City or Municipal water system regular maintenance schedule.  The flushing of the water mains should be scheduled on a regular basis in order to improve the over-all lifespan of the municipal pipe system.

Vita-D-Chlor is certified NSF for the dechlorination of your water. Additionally, Vita-D-Chlor meets the requirements by EPA for flushing into streams, rivers, and lakes. It provides a environmentally safe method of dechlorination by being one hundred percent organic and completely soluble. Chlorine is neutralized at a rate of approximately 2.5:1. Types of Vita-D-Chlor include an Ascorbic Acid and a Sodium Ascorbate.

Wastewater Solids Dewatering

DRAIMAD® is a patented and economical sludge dewatering process that is especially suitable for small domestic and industrial users that produce from 5-250 Kg (10-500 lbs) of dry solids per day.

The bags are typically left on the unit for 12-24 hours. They are then removed with a hand cart, tied, and transported to a drying or disposal area. The solid's content at this point will vary from 12% to 20%, (depending on the sludge source). The bags are normally stacked outdoors where further natural drying, or natural freeze-thaw cycles, can result in solids contents of over 50%. The material of the bags allows air to enter for natural drying, yet repels most rain water.

To be able to satisfy all the necessities of the W.W.T.P, the modules are available in various models, starting from the manual modules with 2 bags up to automatic ones with 12 bags and pressurized dewatering. KOFLO MIXER: In response to a growing need for high quality PVC static mixers at a lower price, the Series 308 PVC Static Mixer was developed. This unit is a clear PVC static mixer, which unlike other static mixers, allows for a visual inspection of the mixing process. All Series 308 static mixers are made in standard 6 element and 12 element configurations. Additionally, all PVC static mixers are edge sealed to the inside of the housing. The advantages of edge sealing are twofold. Not only does edge sealing increase mixing efficiency, but this bonding method also increases the structural integrity of the entire mixer.
